COBB CHILDREN’S LEARNING CENTER RECEIVES $2,000 “FARM TO SCHOOL” GRANT FROM THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
Roseburg, Oregon (05.11.2020) — Cobb Children’s Learning Center has received a $2,000 grant from the Oregon Department of Education to support its Garden to Table initiative at Cobb Childcare and Preschool.
Jessica Gaul, executive director of Cobb Children’s Learning Center, said the funds would be used to increase the fresh fruit and vegetable offerings at the center, helping children to create healthy relationships with food. “These funds will be used to procure local, fresh ingredients for our daily meal offerings. By creating relationships with our local farmers, ranchers and food manufacturers, we can both support our local economy and grow our Garden to Table program,” executive director Gaul said.
