COBB CHILDREN’S LEARNING CENTER  LAUNCHES #GIVINGTUESDAYNOW CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT ITS CHILDCARE & PRESCHOOL

Roseburg, Oregon (05.04.20) — Cobb Children’s Learning Center (CCLC) has launched its new donation campaign, aimed at continuing its mission of providing high quality care and education for Douglas County children. The #GivingTuesdayNow campaign is centered around “Caring  Isn’t Canceled,” according to the organization. #GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity on May 5 aimed at driving donations and engagement to address ongoing emergency needs during the coronavirus pandemic.

At Cobb Children’s Learning Center, the Childcare & Preschool is still operating with nearly full staff to ensure consistent, high quality care, according to executive director Jessica Gaul.

“Under Executive Order 20-12, CCLC closed its preschool & childcare for the month of April, waiving charges to families in an effort to reduce the burden of added expenses for families. We absorbed the significant overhead costs of closure, and reopened May 1st, at half capacity. Many children of non-essential families do not need care right now, yet tuition is our single most critical income stream which allows us to pay our staff a living wage. In these uncertain times, your giving is more important than ever,” said Jessica Gaul, Cobb Children’s Learning Center’s Executive Director. “Your support will allow us to continue to provide an emergent, child-centered  approach to early childhood education while operating under an emergency license. Your generosity will help us while maintain the ability to reopen fully when things begin to resemble normal. Now more than ever, children need stability and a sense of familiarity. We are so incredibly happy to be open and providing an essential service for our community.”
