Welcome to the Cobb School family!  It won’t take long for you to see at Cobb School our mission is to educate the Whole Child with academic rigor and excellence in the Fine Arts. We firmly believe it is our mission to prepare our students for jobs that haven’t yet been created in a loving, family environment!  Our school community is made up of a diverse population of students from different cultural backgrounds with parents who are seeking a culture of acceptance and the chance for each child to reach their potential and be a lifelong learner.

Our staff  are some of the finest educators you will find.  In addition to our home room classes, we offer classes taught by specialists in their fields, such as Music, Drama, Art, Spanish and Technology for ages Preschool through 8th grade.  Our Night of the Arts program and end of year musical program are highlights for students to show their accomplishments in these areas.  Children are given the opportunity to reach their potential and teaching to the average is an unheard concept at Cobb School.

Because we believe in teaching to the whole child, many extracurricular classes and trips are provided  to students.  Our PE classes consist of tennis, swimming and skating lessons as well as Zumba and Crossfit Kids classes.  Every other year the middle school goes to Washington DC and possible trips overseas are being explored.  Each class takes an end of the school year field trip which varies from a visit to the Butterfly Farm in Elkton to Canoe Island Camp on the San Juan Islands.

I invite you to come visit our unique school and join us on this journey of education at Cobb School.  I believe once you visit a classroom and experience our school culture, you won’t look elsewhere for a community of learners that your child can belong to.

Sincerely,

Diane Dunas, Executive Director
